Mt. Carmel Worship Center branches off into three churches Mt. Carmel Holiness, Mt. Carmel Deliverance and Mt. Carmel Tabernacle of Faith. The history of these churches is rooted from a people desiring to please God no matter what the cost.
Mt. Carmel Holiness Church (MCHC) birthed the motto “Where God Answers by Fire” I King 18, to describe the powerful anointing evident in the church. We know fire spreads, and the fire of the Holy Ghost reached a small group of believers in the Effingham County area in Georgia. After the anointing took ground in Effingham a church was then formed in 2003, Mt. Carmel Deliverance Center (MCDC). The church quickly grew into one of the fastest growing churches in the area because of the anointing of God on Bishop Jones life and the witness of the Saints.
Mt. Carmel Tabernacle of Faith (MCTOF) was founded in 2007; the newest addition was birthed again, because of a need for saints to gather for worship. Bishop Jones believes in birthing ministries that will be an asset to the body of Christ and the community. There is a strong teaching aspect in these ministries which is founded on the principle of the holy living God. We as the MCWC seek to reach the lost and continue to spread the fire of the Word of God and always operate as one church, serving one God, with one spirit and following our leader to advance the Kingdom.
The dynamic move of God in Mt. Carmel is very unique, and the people of God under the teachings of their leader walk in a spirit of high praise. There is such an atmosphere that allows the sweet aroma of the presence of God to flow and the spirit is so welcoming that it touches the youngest to the oldest members in the church. Then as worship begins there is an exuberant wave of the power of God that sweeps over the house like a mighty rushing wind, all generations and genders are caught up in the outpouring and visitors find themselves in a life changing experience.
Mt. Carmel believers share a common desire and that is to seek God in the fullness. They are moving from a traditional walk in their relationship with God to a fuller walk with God. The whole experience pushes them not only to be blessed by him but to be used by him for his glory. This desire draws the people into an intimate relationship with a focus on being holy as their standard of living.
The saints exalt the Savior; they are empowered and have experienced a move of God. In 2008-09 Bishop Jones began a series of messages whose main theme was “Beginning, Accepting, and Moving Into Transition.” These words transform the lives of God’s people as we saw new blessings come and old curses broken we went from old to new in every area of our existence and took on a kingdom attitude and the spirit of striving for Excellence. The old habits of doing church as usual, was abandon, and the leader and the people submitted to the Holy Ghost as the empowering force of the church of God. God is good and this Move is not over because the fire still burns even hotter now than ever before.
